Work At Home Using Google Adwords
Of all types of
advertising methods Google Adwords is without doubt the most
revolutionary tool ever created to enable people to work at home. When
Adwords marketing is compared to all
other traditional ways to
make money online it stands out far and
beyond newspaper and magazine ads, radio and television commercials,
pamphlets and bill boards etc. Why has working at home using Adwords
taken such a prominent role in the marketing world? One of Adwords
strongest features (and there are many, is its ability to provide
instant feed-back to the advertiser), after placing an ad in the market
place is its ability to start giving you an immediate response to the
effectiveness of your ad copy, sales copy, product and product price.
Other types of off-line advertising can take days, weeks, and months
before the marketer can even begin to find out if their product or
service is well designed and in most cases cannot be worked at home. If
your attempts to promote products off-line are not spot-on then it could
become a costly matter to rectify problems created. Costs can arise

Google's emphasis on relevance of search results is the overriding factor

Importance Of Negative Keywords
Negative keywords are similar to normal keywords that are used in
campaigns to target desired markets, except that instead of attracting
visitors to your ads and landing pages, negative keywords will keep them

when used in a search query. This feature of negative keywords makes
them an essential component to any successful keyword construction
formula. Reaching highly sort after targeted traffic requires that you
filter out as many unwanted impressions as you can. Keeping away the

Traffic Generation Methods
That Work
After creation of a new website one of the most confusing questions faced by
webmasters for businesses and those who work at home is:
How can I generating traffic to my site?
Given below are a few easy,
inexpensive, and relatively fast methods that can be used to generate traffic.
The links provided will help you achieve your goal of gaining highly target
traffic faster.
1) Write and publish ezine articles. The article that you are reading right
now, i.e. an informative article, could be used to send visitors to your webpage
or any site as mentioned in the
resource box, which is normally placed at the end of the article you write.
For an example, see the resource box at the end of this article.
You can easily do the same thing! Write articles on topics that you know
your target market is interested in, and then distribute them to ezine publishers
and websites that publish others' content. People will read your articles, and
if the articles provides value to them, they will visit the site listed in the
resource box to learn more.
It's that simple!
The key to getting your articles published is to write something that provides
genuine value to your readers. Actually teach them something. You can achieve
this by educating readers, emphasizing a different slant on a topic or provide
new break through information or news. Potential
publishers will see value in your work and know that their readers will also appreciate the

There are

The Importance Of Observing Visitor Behavior:
Generally, it is not enough to just know the number of visitors to your website
each month. You may be able to calculate simple sales information such as the

of visitors per month does not tell you the following:
What they do when they reach your site.
Are they visiting the pages you want.
How long they stay. i.e. Do they leave straight away or spend time there. What

Article, January 2008 - Creating A Sales Copy Writing Plan
Creating A
Sales Copy Writing Plan
Website sales copy writing has become an art form and is a critically important part of the overall
website optimization process. While, at the same time website sales
copy writing has developed into a misunderstood craft. Sometimes the
purpose of sales copy has been lost completely by people who work at home in the attempt to have an
optimized website.
Injecting massive amounts of keywords and keyword phrases into every available
position in your text is not considered website sales copy writing. Being over
enthusiastic can completely loose the impact and even worse the meaning your
sales copy is trying to convey.
The process is more precise than that. Successful sales
copy writing takes planning. Any distorted half measure efforts at writing copy geared
strictly towards satisfying the engines will generally result in a loss of
quality and meaning in your message and a decline in your customer's
experience at your site. Which, is the opposite of what you should be trying to
achieve.
Determining the best way to write good sales copy for your website, and products
and services, is imperative. Starting with a plan is always the best way to
begin. Devise a summary plan of exactly what you want to say to your visitors.
Never start whimsically, without a clear understanding of each of the steps you
want to lead prospective customers through, from beginning to point of sale.
Keep in mind that these are guidelines of techniques that can be used and you
should only use them if
they apply to your particular website visitors. Under no circumstances should
you write solely for the
search engines. You must always write to be clear, concise and easily
understood. In the instance of writing sales copy for your website nothing else
matters except the customer, the customer is truly
#1.

How To Improve Your Website This article will look into both free traffic generation and pay per click
traffic generation methods.
There are many problems encountered by owners of home based businesses who are trying to make an
income
working from home. Some problems are associated with education and others to do with logistics and
standards, but possibly the biggest problem is trying to get a website
noticed in order to increase traffic and ultimately revenues. After all, if
your target audience are unaware of your website, how will they find it among the millions of
other sites.
The quickest and easiest way to generate gigantic amounts of targeted traffic is
to use the pay per click search engines. It is relatively easy to achieved by
those who may choose to work at home. PPC advertising does cost money, and requires
training to out perform competitors, but when a campaign is setup and run
correctly your website will receive massive numbers of visitors immediately,
allowing you to make money straight away, sometimes within minutes. That group of marketers that DON'T bother to learn the proper process to setup a
PPC campaign from an authority can and generally do end up loosing money. They blindly pay
out money for advertising when they don't know how to market like their
competitors, or they don’t have a sufficient
advertising budget to get them through the first few months, both of which can
be detrimental to their
business success.
Getting a website noticed online doesn't have to be difficult. For detailed

Profiting From
Articles - A Step-By-Step Guide
Without a doubt Content Is King! - there is no debate on the subject. So, the
question has to be where do you get
content? A lot of people who work at home put this in the to hard basket and ultimately don't
bother, but the process is not difficult and becomes realistically achievable,
if, like most projects, you break them into small goals that are easily
attained. For example, by writing and creating articles regularly, adding bit by bit, you
build and develop content that becomes substantial over a period of time.
Writing an entire e-Book can be developed in the same way also.
So, how can someone who decides to work at home profit from articles?
Everyone has their own approach to this problem. One approach to the process of
making money from articles is to work in reverse order. That is, first determine
what your ultimate goal is and then determine each step that will lead you to
it.
For example, let's look at the process involved to produce an e-Book.
Our ultimate goal is to produce and sell an e-book. The steps to achieve this by
working backwards is to:
1. A new subscriber reads recommendation in 5-20 part mini
series.
2. An visitor who reads your article visits name squeeze page and signs
up for mini-course.
3. Prospect reads your article on someone else's website, blog, ezine etc.. 4. A publisher picks up your article from a directory and uses it as content.
5. You submitted your article to a directory for mass readership access.
6. You produce an article on a current topic of interest.

Optimization
ALT Text
Importance For Search Engine Optimization
Since the beginning of search engine optimization techniques placing keywords in prominent
places has been one of the tricks used by professional webmasters and mums and
dads who work at home is to enhance the relevancy of web pages.
One of those places, that is often neglected by optimizers, is the ALT
tags. The Alt tags contain text that describe images on your webpage. There has
always been a high feeling of confidence that most search engines consider ALT
tag content to be very important for ranking a website.
Now, is this the case? Do search engines really place value on this type of
optimization?
The short answer is No! Search engines use to place emphasis on keywords located
in ALT tags, but that is no longer the situation. In fact, nowadays, none of the
major search engines consider ALT text when determining relevancy! The search engines don't come out and tell you this, but in fact most of the
research conducted indicates that non of the major engines such as Google,
Yahoo, MSN etc.. consider ALT text.
It has been revealed by diligent testing over the last several years that
dedicated testing servers using ALT tags for search engine optimization purposes
not only reduces but adversely affects the ranking system used in search engine
robot protocols.
One thing that is clearly demonstrated by search engines over the years is that
they are constantly playing catch-up to the optimization tricks used by
webmasters. The tricks being used are intended to improve search engine ranking,
but generally end up damaging the user experience.

How To Build Huge Keyword Lists
I was talking
to a client several years ago and he wanted to see his PPC money making site
rank a little higher in the search engines. At first glance I discovered the
main keywords that would best describe his site were nowhere to be found in the
content of the site.
It was highly unlikely that any one searching for his product would ever see it.
How could this happen? Well it is easily done, as most sites are build without
any regard for how search engines will look at them. Most work at home designers have very
little search engine background knowledge and often simply guess what keywords
to use. This article
will try to avoid the problem by examining how to pick keywords that are
applicable to your potential customers and how to find the keywords visitors are
using to find your product.
How Search Engines Find A Page
When a word is typed into a search engine the search engine looks through its
index for the word typed in. That word is called a keyword or if it contains
several words a key phrase.
Search engines follow the subsequent process when looking for a page to display:
1. Looks for web pages that contain the exact phrase being searched for.
2. Looks for web pages that contain the phrase being searched for but not perhaps adjacent to one another.
3. Looks for web pages that contain the words in the phrase but not in any particular order. 4. Any web pages with the search terms anywhere on the web page.
5. Web pages containing links pointing to the web page in which the link text contains the searched for phrase.
6. Web pages containing the phrase that have links pointing to them whose link text contains the words.

How Keywords In
Content Affect Rankings Everyone
work at home webmaster desires to improve their
search engine rankings. The way to do this is to put some attention on your
keywords. Keywords are the back bone behind the search engine process, they will
bring users to your website. Selecting the correct keywords is especially important
for those who work at home.
But how can you know how many keywords to place in your sales copy and content.
Well, there are few elements and tools that will help you.
This article provides a brief explanation of keyword density, keyword frequency,
keyword position, and how these elements will influence the relevancy and
ranking of your webpage and ranking in search engine ranking results. Keyword density can be defined by the ratio (percentage) of keywords or key
phrases contained within
the total number of indexed text within any web page.
For example, if you have 500 words of text on any one webpage, and a keyword
being examined appears 25 times in that text, then your keyword density is 5%,
that is, 25 / 500 * 100 = 5% The preferred keyword density ratio varies from search engine to search engine.
In general, it is recommended that you use a keyword density ratio in the range of 2% - 8%.

Google Page Rank
Update Analysis
Google has updated the Page Rank they
are displaying in their toolbar once again. Each update causes a stir among the
search engine
community and specifically webmasters and work at home marketers trying to get websites to the top of the Google
Rankings.
In essence, Page Rank is essentially a score given
by Google to websites. The score is a number from 1 to 10. It is a measure of a
websites value in comparison to other websites on the world wide web. It's
common sense to understand that it is impossible to rank all websites with a
number between 1 an 10. Rather, true Page Rank is possibly using a logarithmic
scale of sorts. This would work in the following way, where the distance
between, for example, Page Rank 6 and 7 is much larger than the difference
between 5 and 6. If a logarithmic scale of 5 is used that would mean that a
website with a Page Rank of 0 may in fact have an true Page Rank of between 1
and 5. Whereas, if the Page Rank is shown as 1, the true Page Rank may be
between 5 and 25. If the Page Rank is shown as 2, the true Page Rank may be
between 25 and 125 etc. The values that occur when you use this theory on a Page
Rank of 10 are in the range of 9,765,625 to 48,828,125. Now these types of
numbers allow you to rank the many varied websites that are online. Get the
idea! Of course, this is pure speculation but does lay in the realm of common
sense.

Article, June 2007 - PPC Advertising
PPC Advertising
Pay Per Click or simply PPC marketing, also known as Cost Per Click
marketing, sponsored ads, sponsored links and so on...
PPC marketers use paid search engine
listings to direct traffic to their website. PPC marketing is a method whereby
an advertiser pays an agreed upon fee (bid amount), every single time their
listing or ad, appears (known as an impression), on the Search Engine Result
Page (SERP), and a visitor clicks on the listing and is then taken to the
advertisers website. The positioning that ads receive in the search engine
results list is based on the bid amount that marketers pay for keywords.
Advertisers bid for search terms, and the search engine then ranks the marketers
ads based on an auction bidding system as well as other factors. When an
advertiser pays for keywords they are guaranteed that their ad receives a high
ranking in search results, and the ad is usually highlighted and displayed to
the right of the normal organic results.
Basically, PPC advertising is an
option that is available to professional and work at home marketers to increase their site traffic, without
the complications involved with trying to use search engine optimization
techniques to attain a high ranking. PPC is based on a very simple premise.
Normally, people type in a
keyword into a search engine and receive a list of the most relevant websites
that match their enquiry.
The sponsored list of advertisements that appear on the right hand side of the
search result page are the marketers that are using PPC advertising.

Affiliate Marketing - Part 2
Types of Affiliates - Affiliate programs
are comprised of a great variety of people all with different marketing
experience, knowledge, skills and motivation levels. For easy classification
affiliates can be divided into the following categories depending on their
ability, enthusiasm and results. inactive affiliates - illusioned affiliates - infrequent affiliates - rising
star affiliates - super affiliates The super affiliates are a rare breed that will comprise 1% of an affiliate
program. We are talking about the best of the best. These are the ones every
affiliate program wants. Most work at home affiliates don't achieve very much but that does
not mean they have no value, what it does mean is affiliate vendors must take
the time to train and educate those affiliates. Only join programs where the
affiliate vendor has your interest at heart. If you are in a program that offers
no training or educational material then don't get too attached unless you know
enough about marketing to make money from them. An affiliates managers first
responsibility is to classify affiliates into the above groups and then offer
the necessary training the affiliates need. Each group will have specific needs
to get them to the point of becoming independent. Those that are proactive and
self motivated need less attention than those that are floundering needing more
help. Separate the wheat from the chaff. Affiliate managers should not be
disappointed, but the majority of affiliates will be inactive. Only a few
percent will actually be making any money. You could end up having hundreds, if
not thousands of inactive affiliates. So, the question arises, what can be done
to elevate these affiliates? Affiliate programs should offer assistance, they
should assume that failing affiliates were sincere and eager at some point to
make money online, so what changed to stop them fulfilling their goal. All
affiliates need training no matter what level they are at.

Marketing - Part 1 Affiliate Marketing - Part 1
What Is
Affiliate Marketing -
It is apparent that affiliate marketing is having a gigantic
influence in the marketing world, and is a major power in the way products will
be sold in the future. It is suggested that at least 50% of all sales made in
the next five years will not be through the traditional business to consumer
means, but rather via affiliate marketing online. In 2001, the US Department of
Commerce revealed that $37.7 billion dollars of sales were processed online.
Each year we see sales exceed these figures. Growing rapidly, online internet
sales are tipped to keep expanding becoming a major force in the next 5 to 10
years. There is no better time for people who want to work at home than to enter the market right now.
So, what is
affiliate marketing? Defining Affiliate Marketing - Affiliate marketing is an online marketing
conduit in which online vendors who sell products or services, pay independent
promoters a commission to sell the products or services of the vendor via the
internet, for results. These results can take the following forms, such as a
visitor making a straight-out purchase or a visitor filling out a form giving
their name and email details in exchange for further information at a later
date, in the form of a newsletter, e-Book, article etc… This is a pay for
performance model where persons that successfully introduce new customers to a
business are renumerated. This process is a low risk, high reward environment
for both the marketer and the affiliate. Vendors only pay the promoters when the
new client introduction results in a sale or a follow-up lead. In essence an
affiliate program is where a business producing a product or service, pays a
specified commission to persons (affiliates), that act as intermediaries between
the business and prospective customers, by directing traffic to the business.

Ensure Navigation Of
Your Website Is Easy
An important objective for a business website is not just to attract
visitors, but to encourage those people to stay and follow through with
your required expectation from them. The easiest way to achieve this is
to allow easy passage from one part of your website to another. This is
often a neglect aspect of website design by people who work at home. If you make it complicated for
visitors to travel around your website, and difficult for them to find
the information they were promised from the link that took them to your
website, not only will they move away to another website promising what
they want, but the probability is high that
you will loose them, and they will not return. It is entirely up to you to
allow easy navigation around your
website. Below are a few techniques to permit easy navigation for your visitors.
1. Firstly, no two people think exactly the same as one another, so
ensure you provide several methods for them to get around your site. The
benefit to you by doing this is that you are supplying more information
to the search engines and making sure that the search engines can
navigate your website effortlessly.
2. You should take into account that as many as 25%
of your visitors may not choose or may not be able to show graphics on
their personal computers. To overcome this problem also use clickable icons or an image map for navigation
purposes. Also, make available
hypertext links on the same page, not just as a text only version of your
site. 3. Try to have your important navigation links at the top of the page and
at the bottom. If you only display them at the top of the page at least
provide a link to take them back to the top quickly. This allows ease of
navigation for your visitors and makes their visit to your website more
enjoyable. Have you ever been to a site where it is difficult to find
page links? Not very satisfying is it! Work at home businesses must...

Understanding Keyword Density & Designing A Better Website
Understanding Keyword Density
& Designing A Better Website
To create web pages that the search engines will love is
the basic premise of search engine optimization. Your goal is to place
your most significant keywords into your web pages in the most
appropriate way, so that any search bots sent by the search engines can
access them, take note of them and see them as important. The keywords
that you use to optimize your web pages should be:
-
Keywords that generate and convert the most traffic.
-
Are the keywords near the top of your master keyword
list.
-
Can be less ranked keywords so long as you have very
few competitors for them. Such as, exact match option keywords.
Even novices who work at home will find it very easy to create highly ranked web
pages for keywords that are at the lower end of a preferred list of
keywords because they
are less frequently used for searches. Decide whether you want to search
well for a less important term that gets searched on a hand full of
times a month.
How Webmasters Can Optimize A Web Page
For any work at home webmaster to get any one web page to rank highly you need to focus on one or two
keywords or key phrases within that web page. The more popular the
phrase is to you the more traffic it will bring, so concentrate on your
most important terms. Your first goal is to acquire a keyword list for
the most relevant search terms for your each of your web pages. Then
select your primary and secondary keyword or key phrase that you are
going to use for the first page to optimize. For example, if you are
selling an e-Book about doing fix-it jobs around the house your first
principle keyword may be home maintenance guide and your secondary
keyword could be home fix-it guide. The next step is to write the
content for the home page. If the content contains 1000 words then you
will write the sales copy in a way that will mention your primary
keyword search term at least 2%-8% of the time. That means you want to
mention the key phrase "home maintenance guide", at least twenty times
(1000 x 2% = 20) within the text to attain a 2% saturation level.
